                                                                     WHO AM I

I have to admit that this is a question of obscurity for me till date.I'm still in the process to know 'thyself';I might be possessing the wisdom to know about my near and dears, my patients but iam still not that enlightened to know myself completely. Though everyone is unique in their own way and when recounting the life and time they have their own saga; Iam here with a short tale of "who Iam".

Though I was born in India;I've spent my chidhood till 4th grade in Mumbasa-Kenya as my father was a general practitioner in Mumbasa. In that process I've learnt alot from Indo-African culture. My father was my inspiration for me to step into this profession. Today though god has gifted me with a prince,my dad is always my king. Iam a pure-"mama's boy";whatever words I pen down makes no justice to describe my love for my mother. The question I have frequently encountered is ---why iam so much ethically bound; may be because as a great sage once said- "सुखस्य मूलं धर्मः"That means "the basis of happiness(is)ethics"; and "धर्मस्य मूलं अर्थः" which mean "Basis of ethics is resource" and so my resource is none other than my mother, and thus am ethically bound and enjoying its fruit of happiness. She has taught me "to put my soul in whatever work I do" and these words are still echoed every second. Iam a firm believer that God is seeing me through her eyes.  So now if am asked 'who am i?'-- iam mama's boy".
I have a deep craving to learn about the fundamental nature, reality and existence. With the blessings of my guru "Late.SHANKAR RAO DABHOLKAR" who not only taught me,inspired me but also made me philosophically self sufficient. So now if I were to answer "who am I?"--my answer is "Iam a philosopher".
Iam a firm believer that a strong body and mind go together,Its impossible for me to improve one without working on the other, this has finally dragged me to learn martial arts. Iam also a good cook, not only a connoisseur of food but also of music. In one aspect Iam a social worker,as I participate alot in charity work.
The love of a family is life's greatest blessing. I have been experiencing the unconditional love of a beautiful lady, who turned to beautiful doctor, who eventually turned to be my beautiful wife and finally turned out into a beautiful mommy of ma child. When I meant beauty its not only external pleasant smiling face, rather am emphasizing on her inner beauty of strength, care, love, support. People say when a wife has a good husband it is  easily seen in her glowing face and so u now know the secret of her glow:-).As the great old sage Chankya rightly said- "न एकं चक्रम ब्रामायती" "one wheel cannot make a cart roll", without her I might not have passed so easily through the roller coasters in this life. Though Iam a democrat and my wife being republic to my son,for whatever the underlying reason may it be that he either inherited it from me or may be its generalized fever of 'y' chromosome he is a "true mama's child". so now if u ask me "who Iam?", am a family man.
Professionally if I were to answer 'who am I?'---Iam a Cardio thoracic and vascular surgeon graduated my Bachelors and Masters form B.J.Medical College; Magna cum laude graduate in 'Mch' from Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology'.

'IAM A MAN'
Yes I mean it!!!  The english word "Man" has been derived from sanskrit word- "Mann" which means heart.  I not only own a lovable, caring heart but I also deal with the hearts of my patients; so in every way Iam a MAN.

Iam a firm believer that the heart is the locker for happiness, as when I follow mind it makes me no more than smart; but its only when I follow heart shall I seeketh happiness. At most of the critical stands mind tells to 'give up' but its ma heart which 'won't let me'.

Every patient’s  heart guides me. It whispers,so I listen closely and repair if they are getting off the track.

As truly said by Mr. Robert Tzon -"I would rather have eyes that cannot see; ears that cannot hear; lips that cannot speak, than a heart that cannot love".
